Why this exists

Flight attendant pay is confusing on purpose-adjacent levels: block time, credit, TAFB, per diem that's sometimes taxable and sometimes not, monthly guarantees, and a paycheck that never quite matches the trip you flew. FA Trip Pay Calc was built by a working US flight attendant who wanted one simple answer before picking up a trip: what is this trip actually worth to me?

The app is airline-neutral. It doesn't encode any carrier's contract, and it isn't affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to any airline or union. You bring your own rates; it does the math.

How the math works

The core estimate is deliberately simple and fully visible: block pay = block hours × your hourly rate; per diem = time away from base × your per diem rate; total = block pay + per diem + any manual adjustment you add. The Pro paycheck simulator layers editable estimates on top — federal withholding by filing status, state payroll defaults for all 50 states, retirement and insurance deductions — and every one of those values can be corrected from your own pay stub.

What it deliberately does not do: premium pay, holiday pay, junior assignment, critical coverage, reassignment, cancellation rules, or any airline-specific contract logic. Those vary by carrier and contract, and pretending to model them would produce confident-looking wrong answers.

The free estimator stores nothing — no account, no images, no schedule data. Trip screenshots and pay-stub photos are read once to extract the numbers, then discarded.
